The Shoemakers’ Palace of Culture of Tashkent Production Shoe Association No. 1 was built in 1936 according to the design of architect K. Skornyakov. The building is included in the list of Stalinist architectural monuments.
The entrance portal and side structures
were decorated with columns and sculptures; currently, the columns are
preserved, and only the sculptures above the entrance portal remain.
The building has two auditoriums seating
720 people.
In the 1960s–1970s, the city emergency
medical service was located in the right wing of the Shoemakers’ Club building.
In the years of independence, the
Association of Cultural Centers of Uzbekistan operated here; many cultural
centers were also located in this building.
From 2019 to 2025, the Yakasaray District
Administration was housed here. The building has been put up for sale.
In 2021, the historic building was added
to the register of cultural heritage objects.
