📈Developing education infrastructure in Tashkent: new projects for 2027

▫️Taking into account the growth of the population in the capital and the demand for educational places, targeted proposals for educational facilities have been formulated for inclusion in the 2027 Programme for the Development of Social and Production Infrastructure.

🇺🇿A working group led by Durdona Rakhimova, Deputy Hokim of Tashkent City, in cooperation with the district hokimiyats, examined the existing capacity of educational institutions, the number of pupils and children, and the need for additional places broken down by district.

In the direction of general secondary education:
🔹 New construction: construction of 2 new general education schools in the territory of Tashkent City — each with 1,980 places, a total of 3,960 places.
🔹 Reconstruction and construction of additional buildings: Mirzo Ulugbek District, School No. 221 — 960 places, School No. 171 — 990 places; Yashnobod District, School No. 152 — 990 places; Sergeli District, School No. 55 — 990 places; Yunusobod District, School No. 302 — 660 places; Shaykhontohur District, School No. 132 — 660 places; Uchtepa District, School No. 228 — 990 places; Olmazor District, School No. 133 — 1,200 places; Yangihayot District, School No. 8 — 990 places.
🔹 Comprehensive repair: Chilonzor District, Schools Nos. 178 and 90; Yakkasaray District, School No. 172.

In the direction of preschool education:
🔹 Reconstruction and construction of additional buildings: Shaykhontohur District, Preschool Educational Institution (PEI) No. 140 — 210 places, PEI No. 229 — 240 places; Yashnobod District, PEI No. 517 — 240 places; Olmazor District, PEI No. 277 — 240 places.
🔹 Comprehensive repair: Chilonzor District, PEIs Nos. 200, 496 and 526; Mirzo Ulugbek District, PEI No. 333.

👨‍🏫Overall, within the framework of the proposals, it is planned to create new capacity and opportunities for 2,040 places in preschool education and 12,390 student places in general secondary education.

✔️The formulated projects have been prepared based on the real needs of the capital broken down by territories, and the relevant proposals have been developed for inclusion in the 2027 programme.
